The Elixir Gallery

Originally opened in 1858 the Elixir is the second oldest still operating bar in

San Francisco, has some outstanding craft brewed beers, the do it yourself Bloody Mary

and Charity Guest Bartending. Once you step in you'll never want to step out.

Where does it start?

Do you think the two people across the street realize they just walked past a bar that could be a museum?
The light is green, we have a walk sign, lets head to the Elixir.

While not as old as the bar the sign would still be considered an antique.

Make Your Own Bloody Mary. We were there Sunday morning, after a weekend in San Francisco, and a Make Your Own Bloody Mary was perfect!!

One of the beers the Elixir has brewed specially for them. This one was aged in used whiskey barrels which gave it a dark color and smooth finish.
Ok, one last shot...they are just sooooo good!!
