What can we say about El Patio that hasn't already been said by Men's Journal when they named it one of the 10 best bars in America?

Well, according to the owner, they were wrong (I guess THAT's something we can say).

This place is a dive bar. But it's one of those dive bars that's disappearing from our cities and towns. It's the kind of place that's being muscled out by the local government who'd rather have a TGI McFuckwad instead of places like this (which by the way opened in 1933, has seen a ton of celebrities and impromptu concerts by the likes of the Blues Brothers).

If you're ever in the region--or even 100 miles away--you've got to try to make it by this place before it's gone. Or worse, is redecorated!
